The Nests Condition Guide.....how second-hand bags needn't mean 'Used' bags

With or without tags, this is an item that is 'Shop'' perfect and has never been carried. 

Please do remember to refer to the listing for details of any accompanying packaging as sometimes, even brand new items come without dustbags, cards, tags, etc.

 Also, do remember items will have been handled for photographs to bring you the most accurate details about the item you are buying.

With or without tags, this is an item that is brand new but has some minor reason why its not 'Brand New'.

It may have a small issue, be a 'Sub'' (substandard) or Second, but very ofen the reason for this classification by the Designer can be extremely difficult to find for most folks.

An item that may (or may not!) have been carried but would virtually pass for new. 

Possibly the lightest creasing to the leather, extremely light signs of handling or scratches to the base feet from when its been placed on a shelf.

Many ex-display items fall into this category or items that have been carried but shown no evidence of such.

If you buying as a present and want to know whether it's Giftable, in my view, just ask!

An item that has most likely been carried but with very few immediate signs of use.  

There may be some very minor cosmetic blemishes but the item will be in an extremely good condition both inside and out.

Full details of condition will always be provided in both the written listing and illustrated in the Gallery photographs.

In a lightly used condition, there will be signs of use but nothing to detract.

Leather may be softened with minor wear and there may be a few light marks, scratches or scuffs.

Every aspect of conditon will be photographed and described so you can view and assess but please don't hesitate to let me know if you've any questions or would like larger photos. It can be so  easy to see a shadow as a 'mark' in a photo when its just the light and I know it can be difficult if viewing on a phone screen.

Gently loved, the item will be in a generally good but obviously used condition throughout.

There may be blemishes, possible areas of fading or water-spots. 

The leather may be well softened with a seasoned patina and there may be darkening to the handles or light scuffs to the corners.

Inking may display crackling or wear and the interior  may have acquired light ruffling or marks.

A much loved piece. Possibly vintage, it may have a very lived-in look, display numerous marks, scuffs, scratches, darkening, rubbing and general signs of wear.  

The hardware may display tarnish or plating loss and the leather will most likely have a well-seasoned patina. Inking may have cracked or be absent and the interior may have pen marks or other noticeable signs of use.

All of my my well used items will be completely structurally intact and fit for purpose, without holes, exposed piping and any other detriments that effect the aesthetic.

I am very sensitive to smell (and personally can find even the lightest aromas overpowering,) so hope I can always indentify and advise you of any smell that may be present.

Sometimes leather pieces in particular can intensify in smell if not aired regularly, can acquire perfumed aromas from their previous owner or even cooking smells can be absorbed. Occassionally items develope a vintage or musty aroma from storage  but any aroma detected will be expressly mentioned in the listing. 

Items will never smell of cigarette smoke.
